International Conference IEEE IGARSS 2019 Yokohama held from July 28 to August 2, 2019, received the Japanese Government JNTO Prize for FY 2020 on January 27, 2021, in particular for the special events, namely, Yokohama City Next Generation Stimulation Event: "Study Our Earth from Space: The Earth Observed by Remote Sensing" (with Yokohama City) and Noge Night (The Japanese Casual-Food Evening Walk in Noge Area) (with Pacifico Yokohama), which involved the local society into the international event, activating the people widely besides its academic promotion and the appeal to the global society on data-based environmental activities. (Ceremony canceled because of COVID-19.)
