IEEE GRSS Bangalore Chapter invited Akira Hirose to hold a Distinguished Lecturer Program (DLP) talk on Advanced Neural Information Processing in Interferometric Synthtic Aperture Radar (InSAR) and Polarimetric SAR (PolSAR)
8 December 2014 Bangalore

Date & Time: Nov 8 (Mon), 2014, 15:30-17:00
Place: ISI (Indian Statistica Institute) Bangalore Center, Platinum Jubilee Auditorium
Host: Prof. B. S. Daya Sagar (IEEE GRSS Bangalore Chapter)
Title: hAdvanced Neural Adaptive Processing in Interferometric and Polarimetric Radar Imagingh

Professor B. S. Daya Sagar, IEEE GRSS Bangalore Chapter Chair, planned the DLP talk. About 50 staff and students from ISI and neighboring universities gathered to discuss the highly useful adaptive processing of complex-valued and quaternion neural networks in interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) and polarimetric SAR (PolSAR). Many questions were made by highly enthusiastic attendants in the remote-sensing and/or neural-network field. Having a lecture on a class of neural networks including practical applications was a great pleasure for the speaker at ISI that was founded by Mahalanobis and is highly active with the people following him.
